So here’s something I’d like to talk about, I’ve always been interesting in volunteering but somehow, haven’t got around to it. I’m not sure why but the thought just refresed in my mind last night and I had a power thought to teach drama as a volunteer abroad. I thought, what a good idea and when I googled it I got lots of results of course. I was on a high, I thought this is perfect. I’m sure volunteering is very rewarding but looking at the costs to volunteer I was shocked. It’s almost like it’s more of a business now and a way to make money than an actual aid. I think these companies targeting young people really have money in mind and not in the right sense. I find it shocking for a month to teach drama to young kids on average it will cost you 1,500 pounds. Is anyone else shocked by this or am I on this alone? I would love to do it, out of the good of my heart but paying 1,500 to volunteer is a bit ridiculous don’t you think? I have a limited knowledge on this and maybe I’m completely off point and not looking in the right places if anyone has any suggestions don’t hesitate to let me know.
